Executive Chef ~ Doug Hosford

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Doug Hosford is right at home in coastal Georgia.  Growing up on a farm in Mississippi with a large garden, Doug's passion for food took hold at an early age, learning from his grandmother with her famous homemade sour dough biscuits to fresh garden vegetables picked daily.  Chef Doug's first time cooking for others was as an eight-year-old boy scout, when he cooked red beans and rice for 150 people.  Doug was formally trained as a Chef in Charleston where he worked at Kiawah Island.  He has spent the last 20 years working in fine dining restaurants from Georgia to Louisiana and many points in between.  Most recently, Chef Doug was the Executive Chef at Dunleith Historic Inn and Castle restaurant in Natchez, Mississippi, a converted horse stable from the late 1700’s, where he hosted everything from intimate dinners for 2 people to weddings of up to 1000 people.  He has been featured on the Food Network, Southern Living, and Garden and Gun as well many other publications.  Chef Doug's passion for food and customer service has led him back to Coastal Georgia and to Little St. Simons Island.
