Nature Photography Workshop
November 10 - 13, 2025
Under the guidance of photographer Dr. Steve Barten, our Nature Photography Workshop is for photographers of all skill and experience levels. You will travel through LSSI’s wide variety of landscapes and ecosystems, from the maritime forests to the marshes, beaches, and everywhere in between. There will be endless opportunities to photograph the island’s birds, wildlife, plants, landscapes, and beaches.

Fall Shorebird Event

Join us this fall for a deep dive into the world of shorebirds. Little St Simons Island’s seven miles of beach host thousands of migrating shorebirds each year like the Avocet, Red Knot, and Piping Plover, and we’re excited to offer this three-day program for those interested in learning more about shorebird conservation and research.

We’re excited to offer a new event that will allow guests a behind-the-scenes peek at the LSSI culinary operation and an opportunity to hone their own cooking skills. Join us for a long weekend of Island adventures and culinary delights.
